"I realized while writing this song that the three verses made sense individually but not together. I figured if I can write three more new verses it could be a Bob Dylan type of song. Then I thought, how the hell am I going to write 3 new verses, so I just repeated all the verses again. I think it works well.

As I was recording this song and feeling pretty proud of this tune, I walked into the supermarket and heard what sounded very much like my NEW melody playing on the radio system in the store. I nearly shit myself. The tune on the radio had a female singer, was very sparse, and kind of alternative or maybe even a bit country. But I’ll go to my grave swearing that I’ve never heard that melody/song until I wrote it..!"
